JOINING FORCES TO BUY AND TRAIN BETTER HORSES
Most years, we invest in a number of high quality, well conformed foals or yearlings at the leading bloodstock sales in England, Ireland or France. Decisions are made against a well-defined specification in close consultation with our trainers and network of highly regarded agents. We partner with friends and co-owners in the purchase of these horses to share opportunities, risk and enjoyment. Do consider joining up with us. At any one time we usually have a small number of Flat and National Hunt horses in training as well as Flat mares, foals and yearlings.
L'AIR DU LARGE
Bought privately in France. By the top-class sire No Risk At All. Close relative Kel Du Large won the Cheltenham Listed Bumper as a 4yo. Will he do the same?
PECKFORTON HILLS
A knock-out on looks, pedigree and conformation. Bought at Goffs Foal Sale and has impressed from day one. A most exciting NH prospect with so much scope.
MARES, FOALS & YOUNGSTERS
Our greatest successes have come from buying unraced foals and yearlings and then bringing them along properly and patiently. Giving them time to develop at their own pace. It was inevitable that co-owning mares and breeding from them would become part of the dream. And what a huge pleasure it is. We are currently involved in a number of Flat mares, particularly with John and Kirsty Weymes in Wensleydale who have strong links to Karl Burke’s powerful, Group-winning yard.

Dark Angel is a terrific broodmare sire and stallion Ulysses is already excelling as well. Volition’s progeny are OR 90+ rated. Looking good!
GOLIATH DU BERLAIS YEARLING
Bought in France, by a red-hot stallion out of a Martaline mare. Dual Punchestown hero Fastorslow is closely related. Exciting.

We are huge believers in developing long-term relationships with trainers that we admire for their commitment and dedication. Karl Burke, Tom Lacey, Oliver Greenall & Josh Guerriero, all fit the bill, as do our pre-trainers Claire Hart and John and Kirsty Weymes.
OUR TEAM
Jon and Jacqueline Hughes bring their former consultancy and legal skills to bear on organising Owners for Owners professionally. All communication, administration, VAT reclaims and annual accounts are done in house. We are supported by media specialists Sara Hoyles and Toby Elford.
